Make an incredible collage in minutes

Don’t worry if you don’t have much time because we have the perfect technique for you. (Just don’t tell your boss about this one!)

For quick collages, such as the one shown in Figure A, just open two images in Photoshop that you want to blend together. Then, place the images in the same document. Make sure each image is on its own layer in the Layers panel. Next, add a layer mask to the image on the topmost layer. Now, fill the mask with a gradient going from black to white, as demonstrated in Figure B.

Keep in mind that areas covered in black will be transparent, gray areas will be semitransparent, and white areas will be opaque. When you’re happy with the results, flatten the image and you’re good to go!
